| | A Hole In One: Izod’s New Golf Shirt Comes Out Swinging |

So much about golf is staying focused and keeping your cool. Not so easy to do when your clothes are clinging to you as you perfect your swing in the sizzling summer heat.
Fortunately, for women golfers, relief comes in the form of a new golf shirt from Izod introduced this month. The classic style cotton Izod shirt has now been enhanced by the moisture management technology recently developed by Cotton Incorporated. It’s designed to keep you cool and dry, while still offering the comfort of cotton.
“This finishing technique moves moisture away from the skin to the outside of the shirt,” explains William A. Rearick, Cotton Incorporated Director, Textile Chemistry Research. “At the same time, the tendency for the fabric to cling to the skin is reduced by 50% or more. And because the moisture is pulled to the front of the garment, it takes less time to dry. All this without affecting the breathability of cotton.”
“I strongly believe that the golf industry is evolving with the rest of the world,” says Donna Patrick, President of Izod Retail. “There are so many new fabrics and finishes that offer tremendous technical properties. These new properties enhance our assortment and offer our consumer more comfort and ease while still looking great in our shirts.”
The Izod women’s golf shirt is available on July 21st, 2005 at the 114 Izod Retail stores across the United States. The shirt is available in four colors: black, blueberry, clover and mango, and will retail for $19.95.
