Reader s Digest Association Declares Quarterly Dividend of Ten Cents Per Share

The Board of Directors of The Reader s Digest Association, Inc. (NYSE: RDA) today declared a quarterly dividend of 10 cents on each share of the company s common stock.

The dividend is payable May 16, 2006 to stockholders of record at the close of business May 2, 2006. This is the 65th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Reader s Digest Association since the company s initial public offering in 1990.
