As part of the AAdvantage ® Program’s 25 th Anniversary celebration, American Airlines is announcing an exciting elite rewards offer to AAdvantage Executive Platinum ®, AAdvantage Platinum ® and AAdvantage Gold ® members.
AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum and AAdvantage Gold members who meet specified miles/points goals set for each elite status level by Dec. 31, 2006 will have the option of making a selection from a list of rewards designed specifically for our most loyal flyers. Options include system-wide upgrades, Admirals Club passes or the ability to give AAdvantage Gold status to a friend or family member.
“These exclusive rewards require no mileage redemption and are in addition to the miles earned. It’s our way of thanking our most frequent flyers for making American Airlines their airline of choice,” said Kurt Stache, President, AAdvantage Marketing Programs. “The ability to select the benefit that the individual member finds most valuable is a key component of this exciting offer.”
Members who reach the specified miles/points goal by the end of 2006 will be sent an e-mail in January 2007 inviting them to choose their reward. Members must opt-in to receive the AAdvantage e-Summary so they will be notified when they may choose the special elite reward. There is no need to register for this offer in advance. Members who aren’t already receiving an e-Summary may subscribe by going to the My Account section at the AA.com website and clicking on the “E-Mail Subscriptions” tab. Terms and Conditions
This offer is open only to AAdvantage members who are AAdvantage Executive Platinum, AAdvantage Platinum or AAdvantage Gold members as of 12/31/2006. Qualifying miles/points* must be posted to the AAdvantage members account by January 10 th, 2007 to qualify for this offer.
Members who have qualified for this offer will receive an e-mail in January 2007 instructing them how to claim their reward online. The instructional e-mail will also designate a 6 week time frame in which members must make their selection.
A valid e-mail address with e-Summary opt-in must be on file with the AAdvantage Program by December 31, 2006, in order to be notified and sent instructions on how to select the reward online.
Members should select their reward carefully as no changes will be allowed once the reward request has been submitted. There are no additional fees for claiming a reward, however taxes and fees relating to award travel are the responsibility of the member.
This offer and the associated rewards are neither transferable nor refundable unless otherwise stated. These rewards have no cash value and may not be bartered or sold. A maximum of one reward may be earned/selected. American Airlines reserves the right to substitute a reward of equal or greater value if any reward is not available for any reason.
*Qualifying miles/points are elite-status qualifying miles and points earned when you purchase eligible fare tickets and fly on American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection, Aer Lingus, Alaska Airlines (including Horizon Airlines), British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, LAN (including LanPeru), Qantas Airways and/or American Airlines codeshare flights.
